Tater Tots… That delicious American Treat that children, teens, adults and families everywhere seem to KNOW, UNDERSTAND and LIKE.

That one little tot has been marketed to bring at least four smiles per serving. That is some “foodie” relief if you are starving for more. The question is, can you just eat one?

“The question is, can you just eat one?”

Last time I spoke about keeping your social media neat and clean like your home. Why? You want people to feel comfortable when they are searching your networks for resourceful information that they are willing to read, understand and share with their own networks.  Now let’s focus on what makes the eye-balls enlarge!  It is easy….. Tater Tots.

They are so good!!! Your social networks should and MUST be like Tater Tots and I will break down why:

  • Humor: However humor isn’t always the “KEY” ingredient, however, it is important to appease to a mass population by providing information in a simple way that makes them want even more.  You now not only become a “follower or friend” but you become an organic search in your social network search bar. It’s okay to make people smile and laugh like our favorite American Treat any day of the week!
  • Relationship: It can be a bit intimidating when you are figuring out, whom you want to connect with, how you will connect and what makes them want to connect back to you.  Keep in mind that sometimes a relationship is gained initially on a “passion point” that may not necessarily be the reason you are connecting in the first place.
  • Trust: Think of social media like your significant other or for you

Brands, we want to TRUST you, the information you provide and believe that we are “REAL LIFE” friends not just another data insight feedback that we “THINK” is working.

Sounds fun and easy but when you put your actions into a process it can be quite a brain overload because social media is STRATEGY.

You must know how to connect with people without being “cheesy”… you must be “RAW and REAL”.  The Tater Tot has become one of America’s favorite treats because we know the Tater Tot and the Tater Tot isn’t trying to be something or someone that it’s not.

The Tater Tot is what it is and we KNOW it will be around for years to come.

Make your social networks RESOURCEFUL and KNOW yourself, your content, your capabilities and your responsibilities in order to set yourself from your competitors.
