The Director of Client Services is the senior leader responsible for the health and growth of every client relationship at Moncur — and for building and developing the Client Services team that manages them. This role sits on the agency’s leadership team and requires someone who can think strategically, operate with precision, and bring genuine care to both client partnerships and team development.
The right candidate has deep agency experience across branding, digital marketing, advertising, and website development — and knows how to scope, pitch, and deliver that work profitably. They understand that great client service isn’t just responsiveness; it’s anticipation, clarity, and follow-through.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow existing client relationships with a focus on satisfaction, retention, and account expansion
Support and contribute to new business development efforts, including pitching, proposal development, and prospecting
Serve as the primary client advocate within the agency, ensuring work is delivered on time, on budget, and at the quality standard clients expect
Oversee client scoping, estimating, and billing across all active accounts
Maintain working knowledge of project timelines, scope, and budget status across the portfolio
Lead, mentor, and develop the Client Services team — set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and create a path for professional growth
Proactively identify risks to client satisfaction, project delivery, or budget — and mitigate or escalate before they become problems
Drive continuous improvement in client services processes, tools, and workflows
Lead client-facing and internal meetings with clarity and efficiency
Serve as an active member of the agency leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and agency operations
Requirements
6–8 years of account management and leadership experience in an agency environment (strongly preferred)
Experience with business development in a B2B environment — building relationships, developing proposals, and winning new accounts
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client relationships and a team simultaneously
Strong strategic thinking — able to see the big picture while staying on top of the details
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with clients and internal teams
Experience with scoping, estimating, and managing project budgets
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset — you see problems coming and address them early
